About Investors Beyond Borders
In 2009, a vision was created for an organization to promote and support sustainable energy solutions around the world. The result was the birth of Investors Beyond Borders. Our aim is support the establishment of public-private partnerships among individuals, institutions and organizations in the clean energy industry. Members contribute with different academic, economic and cultural backgrounds.
Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Investors Beyond Borders first started at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus and today has rapidly grown into an international non-profit organization with affiliates across four (4) continents. Composed with some of the world’s best leaders our mission is to work with our network and partners to educate, develop, and discover sustainable energy opportunities and solutions.
Our International Renewable Energy Case Competition (IRECC) has become the first international and largest case competition dedicated to assessing new locations with undiscovered investment and development potential in clean energy. (More on the IRECC)
There are three (3) main components to the structure and organization of Investors Beyond Borders. These include the executives who are active within Investors Beyond Borders’ various committees and have operational responsibilities, the Board of Advisors who advise the organization on its undertakings and decisions,` and our international and local network of members.
