IRECC – International Renewable Energy Case Challenge


It will be the world’s largest business case competition in 2010 dedicated to sustainable, clean energy investments….and now is the time to be a part of it.


The best and brightest from four (4) continents, for six (6) continuous months, will devote their intellect to research the renewable energy industry, it’s existing technologies and it’s global perspective, in addition to discovering new, sustainable investment opportunities in one of the world’s fastest developing economies. This business case competition will launch original, innovative
applications and present sustainable technologies that will help nations strengthen their economies and move away from a dependence on non-renewable fuels. It will further foster, nurture and energize the emergence of world-class renewable energy
technologies.

Timeline
The competition is divided in two (2) rounds.

Round One (Begins March 2010)

Occurring consecutively at five (5) distinctive Universities around the world, teams will be educated about the various technologies that exist in the alternative energy sector as well as their growth and future potential. Teams of students will attend a
number of various workshops, seminars, networking lunches and an exposition dedicated to green technologies.

Presentations (Begins March 2010)

After conducting extensive research into the chosen emerging country and alternative energy sector, teams will deliver innovative and strategic business cases for the best investment project that should be implemented in the near future. An experienced and respected panel of judges will choose one (1) winning team from each host University, whom will then go on to represent their country in the second and final round.
